I am selling my Silver 1997 BWM M3. This car runs very solid and has never given me any problems. The E36 M3 is considered one of the better-handling cars of all time, and was in fact named "Best Handling Car At Any Price" by Car and Driver in 1997. Tight turns, incredibly prompt acceleration, smooth controlled shifts. These are mostly sensor issues that do not affect the performance of the car in any way. Full disclosure: Occasionally the on-board computer says that a brake light is out, even though it is fine. I never looked for the problem. It's probably just a loose connection in the tail light. There is a sensor in the passenger seat belt that tells the airbag NOT to deploy if there is nobody sitting there. The sensor is broken, so there is a light on the dash. If you were to get into an accident, the passenger airbag would deploy needlessly. The brake wear sensor light is on. I changed the brake pads last year and I accidentally broke the wire. I have the replacement, I just never put it on. The backlight for the stereo is out. The station/time can is very faint. There are some rock chips in the hood (normal for a car like this. See pics).
